The cooler weather of fall makes it the perfect time to get outdoors and explore your community. If you’re looking for seasonal activities in Amesbury, consider visiting Cider Hill Farm, the Brewery Silvaticus, or Lake Gardner. These are just some of the many things you can do to stay busy this autumn.
According to Trip Advisor, one of the top things to do in the area during the fall is to visit Cider Hill Farm. Started by the Cook family over three generations ago, this 145-acre farm hosts events, but you can also stop by to try their sparkling cider or their organic crops. Cider Hill Farm is dedicated to maintaining environmental sustainability, which also makes it a great place to learn about eco-friendly initiatives. Events include Friday Farm Tastings and Cider Under the Stars, as well as Pioneer Day with Laura Ingalls Wilder on Nov. 9.
Want to try some rustic ale or another hearty brew? Stop by the Brewery Silvaticus in the historic mill building in downtown Amesbury. Located right off the Powwow River, this brewery has a small tap room and an outdoor beer garden. You can also find local food trucks if you visit on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Finally, stop by Lake Gardener before it gets too cold. You can hike, paddleboard, or kayak on the lake. Though, if you prefer more land-based adventures, you can also go bird-watching or walk your dog on the trails.
