Although the Fourth of July is known for its spectacular fireworks displays, the end of summer deserves its own celebration. Entering its seventh year, the annual Illuminate the Harbor Fireworks Celebration will take place on the Thursday before Labor Day Weekend (Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019) between 8:30-9 p.m., marking a close to the summer months. This WBOP Gathering will celebrate our community, love, and the end of summer with a breathtaking, family-friendly fireworks display at the Boston Harbor.
The Illuminate the Harbor celebration believes that Boston’s waterfront and Harbor belong to the Boston community and celebrates the array of individuals, communities, and public resources that support the waterfront. To show your support for love and connectedness, donate to the celebration here.
The Illuminate the Harbor fireworks display will feature fireworks set off from two barges in Boston Harbor located between Long Wharf and Seaport. The display can be viewed from anywhere along Boston’s waterfront, but several locations along the Boston Harborwalk are recommended. The recommended locations are Christopher Columbus Park, North End; Piers Park, East Boston; and Fan Pier, Seaport District. Before the celebration, you can kick off Labor Day Weekend right with some local grub, supporting local businesses along the Harbor.
We here at Amesbury Chevrolet hope to see you at this year’s Illuminate the Harbor event. Until then, feel free to stop by to test-drive a shiny new 2019 Blazer or Silverado 1500.
